Principles: 

An electronic invoicing network is a community that can exchange invoices in a standardised technical and legal environment.

DESKOM NETWORK is made up of the following elements:

• A secure exchange platform that members can access via a Web address,
• Listed and documented invoice exchange formats,
• Standardised exchange procedures,
•  Invoice movement control and validation procedures,
•  A directory listing all members.

Technology: 

DESKOM NETWORK can be accessed in a secure manner from an ordinary Internet address.

DESKOM NETWORK is based on an N-tiers architecture. It is based on IBM, BEA and J2EE technologies.

The general architecture of the platform is as follows:

•  A DMZ located Web server,
•  A back-end comprising 3 IBM Business Integration Servers,
•  A Weblogic application server,
•  A DB2 database,
•  An archiving server (SQL server) for the electronic originals,
•  Data storage dedicated hardware (NAS bay of RAID 5 disks),
•  A back-up system with daily back-ups.

DESKOM NETWORK has a back-up environment with a switch-over capacity of less than two hours.

As regards the connectivity and integration, DESKOM NETWORK is built around:

• IBM Websphere Business Integration,
• WebSphere Business Connection.

DESKOM NETWORK has connectors that are compatible with the main management systems used by businesses.

User interface: 

Members send their invoices to DESKOM NETWORK in their choice of format:

•  XML, EDIFACT
•  Flat files, DOC INVOICE 01/02 and more generally, any type of documented structured file
•  Image format via scan/lad chain
•  Online entry

Suppliers can send their customers issued invoices in the format requested by each customer. Similarly, buyers can receive their invoices in their choice of format. The invoices issued or received in this way constitute "invoice dossiers" that can be consulted on the Deskom Network portal.

Members send their invoices to DESKOM NETWORK via their choice of exchange mode:

•  X400 or AS2 mailbox
•  Pesit/HorsSIT (CFT)
•  FTP, SFTP (SSH), FTPS (SSL)
•  HTTP/HTTPS.

Access to DESKOM NETWORK is 7/24 via a secure Web address.

Search engine for invoice consultation

The search engine is used to access invoices according to the following criteria:

•  Supplier/customer name
•  Invoice number
•  Invoice date
•  Amount to pay
•  Status
•  Other additional search criteria (parametered according to your requirements)

Start your search to display the list of invoices you want to consult.

Monitoring of the status of your invoices

The list of your invoices indicates the status of each invoice (last column on the right). This management report lets you monitor the invoices and their processing process in real-time.

Displaying an invoice

You can display each of your invoices just by clicking the corresponding invoice. This is actually an invoice image reconstituted using the invoice data sent.
